Hi, we’re Simon & Lee. Welcome to SiLee Films!

At SiLee Films we pour our heart and soul into every project we undertake. This is our passion, our drive. With extensive experience in making animated short films in numerous styles we believe that our work speaks for itself.

So please head over to our ‘what we do’ section for a more visual description of what we can offer.

In 2014 we were profiled by Notts.tv, in their television series, F-Stop! A show dedicated to local film makers & animators. Stay tuned for further updates…

Our Passion and enthusiasm for animation, and all things creative, brought us to the decision to form SiLee Films in 2004.

Since then we have produced animation for US Rock Band Alter Bridge –  CartoonStockThe Prince’s TrustSOVA WiW and The Turner Partnership to name a few and have had work broadcast on BBC Three, shown on BBC BIG Screens across the UK and shown at numerous Film Festivals.

One of our animations recently became the official music video to accompany US Rock Band Alter Bridge’s ‘Cry of Achilles’ track and is a Genero.tv Winner. Another, ‘Awakening’ was also a Genero.tv Staff-pick & Finalist. Our short film, ‘Park Life’ was shortlisted for Best Animation 2012 as part of the reed.co.uk short film competition and ‘Deliverance‘ was broadcast on BBC Television as part of an animation based sketch show called ‘FAo3‘.

What is a 'Smug'?

Smug is a mischievous little green character that we created at the very start of SiLee Films and he’s been with us ever since! Starring in his own animated shorts and generally running things here! (Well, that’s what he thinks…)
